Dread Babies

Here are my new babies. My brother, Erik, and his g/f Shannon put them in today. They started at 10am and we were done at 5… It took way too long. It was supposed to take 4 hours according to my “reliable” source. Anyway, thanks for the help! (even though they don’t read this…)

They hurt getting in. And there is too much wax in them, but that’s just part of the learning curve of having them. They are a lot of work to start with, but it will pay off. Should be fun.

Erik and Shannon raced to get the first one done. Erik won and he got to name my first dread, so, meet Ted!

  1. Dave, Taiten was there the whole time they were being made. He said, Mom, why is your hair weird? haha. Now he thinks it looks silly. He got to help put wax on them though and he thought that was neat.I don’t think Kaia notices a difference…I don’t think that’s the best pix of me, but it’s what I have right now. When we get our camera back I will post more pix!Rachel, Do it! It’s a little scary, but it’s fun. This morning I already had bits of hair falling out of them and I had to knot them up and put them back, it’s going to be a lot of work, but it’ll be fun.
